Special Events
Occasionally there are one day events that serve the community in very specific ways. These include Pantry-on-the-Go, Gift distribution at Christmas time, Trunk-or-Treat, Health Fair, Back to School Night, and more. If you want to be on the mailing list to receive information about special events, contact us at volunteer@cfmins.org
Duties and time commitments will vary depending on the event.
Requirements:
Forms needed: Volunteer Application
Training: Brief orientation before each event
Every volunteer should have a current volunteer application on file that includes contact information and emergency contacts. Fingerprinting and Background checks are required to work with children. We cover the cost for this.
Homework Club Orientation: 15 minute training from the Homework Club Emergency Information Binder.
MSDE Medical Form: Medical certification signed by a doctor needed to work with children.
Program Specific Training: 1 hour training with a program leader at St. Francis done at a convenient time.
